Our founder has been in the digital marketing industry since 2014 and established Bushwillow Media in 2024, after successfully running a freelance copywriting company called Connect Copy Communications. We do (human-first) copywriting, SEO, website design, social media, and we also dabble in photography (when requested) too.

We love to travel
Hiking in remote places, trying out the latest hotels and restaurants, spending days driving around the Kruger, and occasionally hopping over the border to Mozambique, we love to travel, and it shows in our work.
Bushwillow Media (originally Connect Copy Communications) has created content and built websites for dozens of South African and International brands.
We specialise in written copy but quickly realised that our customers needed an all-round service that they could trust.
After being asked a few times to assist with website designs and SEO, we branched out and now we do it all, for brands who need a comprehensive online marketing strategy and digital product package.
Along with web stuff, we also write itineraries which can be printed and we do photography on request for our travel clients.
From watching and working with the chaos of Google updates, to the advent of the age of Language Learning Models (AI), we’ve been here for it all. Our decade in the business means:

Content is the start and the end of all online conversions (turning those clicks into bookings). And the best content is still created by humans.
In 2024 and 2025, the digital world became choc-o-block with rehashed, totally unimaginative, and often downright incorrect AI slop, as agencies cut out the writer.
We didn’t.
With companies not employing writers, there’s a huge gap in the online advertising market, particularly amongst travel brands, that AI cannot fill. Travellers want to read real content by real humans.

We don’t believe that corporate and creativity can thrive together, especially as we’ve seen first hand how too many cooks definitely spoil the digital marketing broth.
